Love & Marriage on the Outer Banks
By Cathy Baldwin –
Locals aren’t the only ones who love the fall on the Outer Banks. September and October are two of the most popular months to marry here, thanks to the mild weather, uncrowded beaches and reasonable rental rates. According to the Dare County Register of Deeds, in 2011 couples registered 1223 marriage licenses. As of press time (early August), nearly 800 had been issued in 2012 with four and a half months to go. But the true number of weddings on the Outer Banks is hard to come by as wedding licenses can be pulled in any North Carolina county for an Outer Banks wedding.
We chose couple Sarah Robson and Kiley Gregory to feature because they had such a gorgeously photogenic wedding, and they just so happen to be Currituck locals.
